Overview
Franz brings messaging services, email, and Signal into one desktop workspace. Each service runs in its own container, while shared workspaces, unread badges, and notifications help users manage client conversations, team chat, and inbox follow-up from one application. The current site documents Franz Assistant for catching up across channels, finding blockers, and drafting replies. The official GitHub repository contains the open-source Franz 5 application under Apache-2.0 and describes it as the predecessor to Franz 6. The current commercial product is still active, but its latest product generation is not represented as fully open source by that repository.
