Overview
Elicit is a hosted AI research service for finding and analyzing scientific literature. Its semantic search can retrieve relevant papers without requiring exact keywords, while research reports organize extracted evidence into cited tables and briefs. The product also supports systematic-review screening, data extraction, libraries, alerts, uploaded documents, and Routines that monitor new evidence. Elicit provides a REST API and an MCP server for agent workflows. It is proprietary software; the official GitHub organization publishes API examples and research materials rather than the product source.
