Overview
Cohere Chat is the conversational API surface for Cohere’s model platform. Developers send messages to generative models and can use the response in assistants, retrieval-augmented applications, agents, and other enterprise workflows. Cohere’s broader platform also includes Embed, Rerank, Parse, and Transcribe models, with deployment options that include managed access and private environments. The Chat API and hosted models are closed source; Cohere publishes official SDKs, documentation, examples, and selected model or research materials for developers for production enterprise software applications.
