Overview
ZCode is an AI coding workspace from Z.ai with desktop, browser, and terminal interfaces. Its Agent can keep project files, terminal results, browser context, execution modes, and Git state in one task, supporting planning, code changes, debugging, testing, previews, and review. The official repository contains the clients, backend services, shared UI, Agent CLI, and runtime source. It is released under Apache-2.0 and can be built for local desktop or command-line use. The application itself is free, while model access requires an API key, plan, or connected model service.
