Overview
Continue is an open-source coding agent available through VS Code and JetBrains extensions and the Continue CLI. Its workflows include agent mode for development tasks, chat for code questions, edit mode for selected code, autocomplete, and terminal-native automation with configurable models, assistants, rules, and MCP servers. The project is used as an extension, CLI, and configurable agent platform. The repository is licensed under Apache-2.0 and remains publicly maintained. Continue's official site says the project has joined Cursor, while the open-source codebase remains available as a foundation for others.
