Overview
Kite was an AI coding assistant focused on code completion, Python analysis, code search, and integrations for popular editors. It used a local client with supporting services and models to provide suggestions while developers worked. The service shut down in November 2022. The official public repository is an adapted version of Kite's main repository, with private material removed or replaced, and is licensed under BSD-3-Clause. The repository remains useful as a historical code release, but the product is no longer available.
