Overview
Kiro CLI is a terminal-based AI coding agent. It can inspect a codebase, answer questions about files, write changes, run shell commands with approval, create reusable prompts and agents, and connect to external tools through MCP. The current Kiro documentation also describes planning, steering files, hooks, and multiple interactive session modes. This entry represents the product that replaced Fig’s terminal workflow. AWS documentation records the intermediate Amazon Q Developer command-line name and the later move to Kiro CLI. Kiro is proprietary, and no official public source repository for the product was found.
