Overview
Ray2 is Luma AI’s video generation model in the Dream Machine product line. The official model page describes text-to-video generation and support for image and video inputs, while the current API documentation covers text prompts, image keyframes, video extension, interpolation, resolution options, and asynchronous generation. Ray2 is used through Luma’s hosted web and API services rather than downloaded as an open model. Luma publishes official Python and Node SDKs for developers. The Python SDK README shows Ray2 generation through the Luma REST API and links back to Luma documentation. Those SDK repositories are integration tools, not the model implementation, so the product is not open source.
