Overview
n8n lets people connect applications and APIs in visual workflows, transform data, and add custom nodes or code when a built-in integration is not enough. It can run as a hosted service or be deployed with npm or Docker for self-managed environments. n8n documents AI functionality including model connections, agent workflows, and tool use inside automations. The main repository contains the product source and is actively maintained, but n8n uses a fair-code license rather than an OSI-approved open-source license, so it is marked source-available here.
