Overview
Ideogram is a generative media platform built around image creation, editing, typography, and production workflows. Its official site lists Ideogram 4.5 and 4.0, purpose-built apps such as background and object removal, a unified API, and MCP connections for agent clients. Ideogram 4.0 is available as an open model for local use and customization under its applicable license. The official ideogram-oss/ideogram4 repository contains the inference package and supporting code under Apache-2.0; model weights have separate licensing terms. The hosted service remains a paid and free platform with API and enterprise options for teams.
