Overview
DALL·E 3 is OpenAI's text-to-image model. Its official launch page describes prompt-based generation, ChatGPT-assisted prompt refinement, image revisions, and safeguards for public-figure and living-artist requests. The model was offered in ChatGPT and through the developer API. OpenAI's current model documentation says DALL·E 3 is deprecated and removed from the API, and the launch page directs users to ChatGPT Images 2.5 for the current experience. It is a closed model; the official openai/DALL-E repository is a separate archived package for an earlier DALL·E discrete VAE, not DALL·E 3's own source.
