WhatsApp supports one-to-one and group messaging, voice and video calls, media sharing, channels, status updates, and browser access. Its official site says personal messages and calls use end-to-end encryption, while privacy settings include disappearing messages and locked chats. It also supports communities, broadcast channels, and business messaging. Meta AI is an optional feature in WhatsApp for questions, voice interaction, image creation and editing, photo understanding, and message summaries. WhatsApp is proprietary software; Meta does not publish an official source repository for the consumer application.
