Overview
PlayHT provides web tools and developer APIs for generating speech from text. Its current feature set includes a multilingual voice catalog, voice cloning, automatic dubbing, voice changing, transcription, voice isolation, AI music, and text-generated sound effects. The developer documentation describes asynchronous REST endpoints and an MCP server that can be connected to compatible assistants. PlayHT also publishes SDKs, including an official Python library, but the hosted voice platform and its models are proprietary rather than open source products for customers.
